I won't get into the pros and cons of processing wood with a knife vs axe. If you want a heavy knife for woods work, this is the best bang for your buck. D2 is a good steel. Mine came shaving sharp. The grind had no noticeable defects. Nice leather sheath included, however I have noticed the blade rubs the leather part of the snap keeper. If not careful, it will cut it off with time. I would prefer a kydex or plastic (Cold Steel style) sheath. Overall if you are looking for a big hard use knife, buy this one. If you already have a big hard use knife, buy this one anyways. 2 is 1, 1 is none.
Great deal for HD chopper this thing is sweet ive been hacking all sorts of stuff up
Is it a seax? A parang? A froe? Definitely not a tanto. Whatever it is, it's awesome. Well made and feels great. I'd put it right up there with the Skrama and SP8, maybe even above them.
